Ana D. (Soto) Wolf, 96, of Sierra Vista passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, March 25, 2024.
Ana, a daughter of the late Francisco Soto and Maria de la Luz (Ruiz) Soto, was born in Nogales, Arizona on March 3, 1928. She was raised in Nogales and graduated from Nogales High School.
Ana met her husband, Don Wolf, who happened to live right across the street from her residence in Nogales. They married in 1956 and relocated to Sierra Vista. Ana had resided in Sierra Vista for the past 50 years. Ana and Don spent three wonderful years with their immediate family in Hawaii, where she was active in the local Catholic church. Upon returning to Sierra Vista, Ana volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul, and St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Ana was an aficionado of UA collegiate basketball games but did keep track of ASU basketball as well. One of her favorite hobbies was landscaping her backyard; she especially loved roses. Ana also loved to cook and her door was always open for one more guest.
In addition to her parents, Ana was predeceased by her husband, Don E. Wolf and her son Samuel E. Wolf. She is survived by her sister, one son, three daughters,10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Hatfield Funeral Home. On Tuesday the Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10 am at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church followed by the mass at 10:30 am. Bishop Jaime Soto, nephew of Ana, will be the celebrant.
Immediately after the mass, the Catholic Rite of Committal and Interment will take place at Cochise Memory Gardens Cemetery, followed by a reception at St. Andrew's Church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Casa de la Paz, St Vincent de Paul or the Animal Care and Control Center of Sierra Vista.
